PFERD POLIFAN Flap Disc 125mm 120 Grit (Zirconia)

For finishing and that last smooth pass, reach for a fine flap disc. This 120 grit PFERD POLIFAN disc cuts into weld seams and surface rust on steel and stainless, clearing material while leaving a more even surface than a solid grinding wheel.

The zirconia grain sits on a tough fibreglass backing, so it keeps cutting instead of wearing out after a few passes. It fits a 125mm (5 inch) angle grinder and is rated to 12,200 rpm, so always check the speed printed on your grinder before you fit it.

One hundred and twenty grit is the finishing grit, for cleaning up before polish. Use a coarser 40 or 60 grit disc first if there's real metal to remove. Full specs and the maximum speed are in the tabs below.
