A claw hammer isn't built for metalwork, and it shows the first time you try to start a panel pin or peen a rivet.
This cross pein hammer carries one flat striking face and one wedge-shaped pein, the pein lets you start tacks and small nails one-handed and set rivets or work sheet metal without the head getting in the way.
At 350g it's light enough for careful, controlled taps rather than heavy blows, which is exactly what panel work and fine metalworking need. The timber handle absorbs some of the shock and gives a warmer grip than an all-steel handle in a cold shed.
Full specs are in the tabs below. Pair it with a nail set for delicate finishing work.
