    Render that's been troweled on still needs floating up before it's finished.

    This 150x310mm poly float works the surface in a figure-eight motion once the render's gone off enough to take it, compressing the material and levelling out the trowel marks rather than pulling moisture out of it the way a sponge float does. It's the step that gets a wall flat and uniform before the final sponge pass.

    It suits sand and cement render as well as traditional lime work, and the medium size covers a good area of wall per pass without being unwieldy.
