A kikuyu lawn that shrugs off the heat and mends its own bald patches.

This is a kikuyu seed blend with an annual ryegrass nursery cover, so you get quick green while the kikuyu gets its roots down underneath. Once it's established, kikuyu handles dry conditions on less water than most lawn types, and it's self-repairing, so worn tracks and bare patches fill back in on their own over time.

It's not fussy about soil either. Kikuyu grows in nearly any soil type you throw at it, which makes it a solid pick for a new lawn or patching up an existing one that's seen better days. The seed carries a TurboCote fertiliser coating to help it get away faster in those first few weeks.

One kilogram covers a generous 100 square metres. Sow it while the weather's warm and keep it damp until you see the ryegrass come through in seven to ten days, with the kikuyu following behind.

We pack and send your order with care, right here from our Strathalbyn store. Most parcels leave within 1-2 business days, and you'll get tracking as soon as it's on the way. If you're local, you can choose click-and-collect or our delivery service at checkout.
