Where to Get Helium Balloons Filled in Strathalbyn
Nobody expects the hardware shop to fill balloons, and we do, which is why this comes up as a question rather than as something people already know.
Bring your own balloons
Walk in with them and we will fill them. Latex or foil, either is fine. Foil holds a lot longer than latex, so if the party is not until tomorrow that is the one to go with.
Time it properly, because latex does not wait
A latex balloon floats for about twelve to twenty four hours and then starts sinking, so filling them the day before a party is how you end up with a floor full of them on the morning. Fill latex on the day. Foil you can do earlier.
That timing is the thing people get caught by, and it is worth planning around rather than finding out.
We are open seven days
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm, Saturday 8:30am to 4pm, and Sunday 9am to 2pm. The Sunday hours are the ones that matter for this, because a party on Sunday afternoon and a shop that shuts Saturday lunchtime is a bad combination and it is why we are open.
Not sure how many you need
Ask us. Size changes how much helium a balloon takes and how long it holds, so a rough number and what you are decorating is enough for us to tell you whether you have got it about right.
While you are in
It is a hardware shop, so the balloon run is a reasonable excuse to pick up the thing you have been meaning to get for a fortnight. Seeds, a torch, a hose fitting, gas for the barbecue if the party has one.
