    Strips rust, scale and old paint off bigger surfaces like gate frames, trailer drawbars and machinery, and it's the largest and most aggressive of PFERD's small shank brushes.

    It's a crimped steel wire brush on a 6mm shank, so it goes straight into a drill or a die grinder. At 70mm across with heavier 0.30mm wire it covers ground faster and bites harder than the fine wire sizes, while still leaving the metal underneath intact. PFERD rate it to 15,000 rpm and say it works best between 7,500 and 11,300, which suits a normal drill. Keep at least 10mm of the shank in the chuck.
