Gets a leaking washing machine or dishwasher hose back on the tap without buying a whole new hose, when the fitting at the tap end has cracked or the hose has split near it.

The kit has a straight nut and tail in non-corrosive nylon, a stainless steel filter washer that stops grit getting into the appliance, and a #00 hose clamp. Fix-A-Tap's instructions are to cut back past the damage, slip the clamp over the hose, push the barb in and clamp it, then sit the filter in the nut with the cone towards the tap and hand tighten. It suits 13mm taps with 19mm threads and 13mm inside diameter hoses.
