The safety valve on top of a hot water system, set to open at 1400 kPa, so the tank lets go of excess pressure and heat through the drain line instead of the tank itself giving way.

It's a NEFA PTR1400HS with a 15mm (1/2 inch BSP) connection and a brass body, and the 1400 kPa rating has to match what your water heater maker specifies, so check the plate on the tank or the old valve before you buy. A PTR valve that drips constantly or won't flush when you lift the lever is usually telling you it's time for a new one.
