    Good paint starts with good prep, and a roll of sandpaper beats fiddly sheets for a lot of it. This Uni-Pro roll is anti-clog aluminium oxide on a strong, flexible backing, so it tears to length and wraps around a block or your hand without cracking up.

    At 80 grit it is the coarse one, made for knocking back rough timber, taking off old flaky paint and levelling filler before you move to a finer grit. The anti-clog surface holds its bite longer, so you swap paper less often. It works on plaster, timber trims and painted or lacquered surfaces.
