Within 24 hours it clears more than 95% of the yeast cells, solids and other compounds from the wash. Skip it and those yeast cells break open during the boil, releasing off flavours and smell straight into your distillate, along with impurities held in the fermentation clays and carbons.

For the cleanest spirit, use Turbo Clear in every wash and rack off the sediment before you distil. It's a small habit that makes a real difference to what comes off the still.
