Puts a branch in a 1 inch threaded line, with a female thread on all three ends so male fittings screw straight in.

Philmac make it in Australia from UV resistant polypropylene with tapered BSP threads, so it won't rust in a wet pit, on a tank outlet or next to a pump. The range is rated PN16 up to 2 inch, and the material is approved for drinking water to AS/NZS 4020. Wrap the male threads with thread tape or a sealant made for plastic, and snug them up rather than cranking them.
