Yellow PTFE thread tape for sealing threaded gas fittings, and the yellow is there so anyone opening the joint later knows it was done with gas tape.

It's Apex high density PTFE tape, 12mm wide on a 10m roll. Gas tape is thicker and denser than the white water tape, so it takes fewer wraps to fill the thread. Wrap it clockwise looking at the end of the male thread so it tightens with the fitting rather than unwinding, and keep it back off the first thread so none ends up in the line.

Any gas fitting work in Australia has to be done by a licensed gasfitter. Full specs are in the tabs below, and if you have a question, call us on (08) 8536 4333 or come in and chat with us at 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn.
