A smooth, well-aged brandy with subtle grape and fruit notes, made at home.

This Premium Classic essence comes as twin sachets, each flavouring 1.125 litres of 40 percent neutral spirit or vodka, for 2.25 litres across the pack. It suits Hennessy cognac drinkers, mellow and well-aged in character, served with ginger ale or neat in a balloon glass.

Worth noting it contains milk and barley, so check that against any allergy in the house before pouring for guests. Two sachets give two separate batches from one pack.

The well-aged character comes through mellow rather than sharp, which is what makes it work equally well neat in a balloon glass or mixed with ginger.
