The eight metric sizes you reach for most, from 8mm up to 19mm, each with an open end and a ring end on the one spanner.

The ring end grips a tight nut without rounding it, and the open end slides on where you can't get the ring over. They're hardened and tempered steel with a nickel plated finish, and they come on a carry rack that keeps them in size order, so you can see straight away which one's missing. The set covers 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 17 and 19mm.
