Joins two 1/2 inch male threads end to end, so you can join two threaded pipes or nipples in a straight line with the one small fitting.

Both ends are 1/2 inch female BSP threads, the same size each side, with hex flats so you can get a spanner on it. It's the 15mm socket in nominal millimetres. Philmac make it in Australia from UV resistant polypropylene with tapered BSP threads, rated to PN16. Philmac say their 1/2 inch BSP threaded fittings aren't AS/NZS 4020 approved for drinking water, so this one suits irrigation and stock water lines. Use thread tape or a sealant made for plastic on the male threads.
