Grows a big crop of flat, light green pods that you eat whole, straight off the vine, in a stir fry or in the kids' lunchbox.

It's a 20g packet of snow pea seed from Mr Fothergill's. Snow peas like a sunny spot and soil that drains well, and they go in from autumn through to spring, which keeps the flowers away from the worst of the frosts. Pick the pods while they're still flat and the plants keep making more. The packet has the spacing and the depth for this variety, so it's worth a read before you sow.
