Turns the end of a 40mm PVC pressure line into a 1-1/2 inch female thread, so a male threaded valve or pump fitting can screw straight into it.

One end is a plain socket that you solvent weld onto 40mm PVC pipe with priming fluid and PVC cement, and the other end is a female thread with a hex on the outside to hold it while you tighten. Holman make their PVC pressure fittings to AS/NZS 1477 and they carry WaterMark approval, so they're made for pressure lines as well as irrigation.
