Lifts a sprinkler 300mm up off the line, so it throws water over the lawn edge or low plants instead of straight into them.

It's a black poly riser with a 20mm (3/4 inch) BSP male thread on both ends. One end screws into a 3/4 inch female fitting on your line, like a threaded tee or elbow, and the sprinkler screws onto the top. Poly won't rust in the ground, and a few wraps of thread tape on each end stops it weeping.
