A tungsten carbide cutter for a rotary tool, for shaping and smoothing hard material that would blunt a plain steel cutter in a few seconds.

This PG Mini cutter has a 3.0mm cylindrical head and an overall length of about 38mm. PG Mini make it for material removal, smoothing and shaping, and list it for hardened and stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal and fired ceramic, as well as wood and plastic. The straight sides leave a square wall, so it's handy for opening out a slot, cleaning up a weld or easing a hole in steel. Carbide is hard but brittle, so don't lever on it sideways, and always wear eye protection.
