Heavy grinding calls for grit 40, and this 115mm zirconia flap disc is built to shift metal fast on weld seams and rough stock. It keeps cutting well past the point where a cheaper disc has gone blunt.

The flap design grinds flatter than a solid wheel, so you're removing plenty of material with less gouging than a rigid disc would leave. The fibreglass backing takes the pressure, and it works on both steel and stainless steel.

It's built for a 115mm angle grinder, a step up in size from the 100mm discs if your machine takes the larger fitment.
