    Plain grey concrete does the job, but it never quite looks finished. A scoop of oxide changes that.

    Blend this black oxide through your concrete or render mix and the colour goes right through, not just on the surface, so it will not wear off or wash away. Start at about 5 percent of the cement weight for a soft tint and push toward 10 percent for a deeper, richer colour.

    Measure it the same every batch and the colour stays even across the whole pour. Handy for paths and garden edging, feature slabs and coloured mortar.
