Connects a 1 inch hose or flexible pipe to a 1 inch male thread, like a pump outlet or a tank fitting, with a nut that spins so the hose doesn't have to twist while you do it up.

The nut is a 1 inch female BSP parallel thread with lugs on the side so you can get a good grip on it by hand, and the tail is a 1 inch barb that the hose pushes over. Being a parallel thread, it seals on a washer at the face rather than on thread tape. Philmac make it in Australia from UV resistant polypropylene that won't rust out in the weather, and it's worth a hose clamp over the barb if the line runs under pressure.
