Joins two 1/2 inch female threads straight together, like a tap or valve onto a fitting, with no pipe in between.

It's a male thread on both ends with a hex in the middle so you can get a spanner on it, and both ends are 1/2 inch BSP. Philmac make it in Australia from UV resistant polypropylene with tapered BSP threads, so it won't rust in a wet pit or out on a tank. Philmac say the 1/2 inch BSP threaded fittings aren't AS/NZS 4020 approved for drinking water, so this one suits irrigation and stock water lines. Use thread tape or a sealant made for plastic on the threads.
