Sandy soil that drains too fast, or a lawn that browns off the moment it gets hot, usually comes down to soil that cannot hold water. Upsurge tackles that. It is a boosted organic fertiliser with a high level of organic matter that helps the soil grip moisture instead of losing it.

It carries a balanced feed of around 8:1:4 plus a full suite of secondary and trace nutrients, all in a slow-release form. Around 35 to 40 percent organic matter means it lifts water-holding by roughly a third while it feeds.
