Built to hold in treated pine without rusting out from the inside.

Treated pine reacts with plain steel screws over time. The copper compounds in the treatment eat away at ordinary coatings, so within a year or two you're left with rust streaks bleeding down your fence or deck. C3 galvanising is the coating rated to cope with that, so this one lasts the life of the timber instead of failing years before it.

The self-embedding head drives flush without a separate countersinking step, and the number 2 Phillips drive seats firmly enough that the bit won't cam out halfway through a run.
