The little jobs need the right screw too. These Macsim self-tapping screws handle general fixing into metal and timber, the kind you reach for when you're putting up a bracket, a hinge, a sheet or a fitting. This pack is 6 gauge by 13mm, a short light-duty size for thin material and tight spots.

A pan head sits neat on the surface and spreads the load, while the full thread and self-tapping point bite in without a lot of fuss. Zinc plating gives them a fair bit of corrosion resistance for indoor and light use. A number 2 Phillips drive seats them with a standard driver.
