Fences, decks, pergolas and sleeper walls all rely on the same thing, a bolt that pulls timber tight and stays put. This Macsim cup head bolt comes with its nut, sized M10 by 75mm, a mid length with good reach through a post or a couple of boards. It is the coach bolt you reach for on rails, posts and timber-to-timber joins.

The cup head is the clever bit. A smooth domed head sits flush on the face, and the square neck underneath bites into the timber so the bolt will not spin while you tighten the nut from the other side. No second spanner, no chewed-up head. The galvanised finish keeps the rust off once it is out in the weather, which is exactly where most of these end up.
