When framing has to stay put, a bolt and nut beats a screw for grip you can check and undo later. This Macsim set holds 1/4" x 1 1/2", with the matching nut in the pack so you are not hunting for one at the bench.
It is a Grade 4.6 zinc-plated bolt, the everyday grade for fixing timber-to-timber or metal-to-metal framing and post supports. Grade 4.6 is general purpose rather than high tensile, and zinc plating suits indoor or sheltered spots. For anything coastal or out in the weather long term, step up to a galvanised bolt.
Sizing is plain imperial, so it matches older brackets and gear that were never metric. Measure the grip you need before you pick a length.
More sizes in both 1/4" and 5/16" are on the shelf. Pop in or call and we will point you to the right one.
