A 1/2 inch hex bolt with its nut, for bolting a post or a heavy gate hinge right through with a spanner on each end.
It's a Macsim imperial hex bolt, 6 inches long (about 152mm), zinc plated and sold with a matching nut. The hex head and nut both take a spanner or socket, so you can pull the joint up really tight. Zinc plating suits sheltered jobs and machinery, so go galvanised for anything that lives out in the rain. Drill a 1/2 inch hole and put a washer under the head and the nut on timber.
Sold each, with the nut. Full specs are in the tabs below, and if you're matching an old imperial bolt, bring it in or call us on (08) 8536 4333 or come in and chat with us at 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn.
