Joins two lengths of 1 inch rural poly pipe, the black pipe with the stripe that runs out to troughs, tanks and sheds on most blocks around here.

It's Philmac's Rural compression joiner, made for rural B class poly pipe in imperial sizes, so it won't suit metric pipe. Undo the nut, push the pipe in until it bottoms out, and tighten it back up by hand. If you're fixing a leak in the paddock, cut the damaged piece out square, clean the ends, and put the joiner in. The body is a tough thermoplastic that won't rust in the ground.
