    A water based sealer undercoat for new plasterboard, render and masonry, in a 10 litre pail for the bigger prep jobs.

    Ultraseal is the Haymes Ultra Premium acrylic sealer undercoat, for inside and out. It seals plasterboard, render, brick, concrete, fibre cement sheeting, timber and MDF, and you can put either a water based or an oil based topcoat over it. On new plasterboard Haymes say one coat does it, and a light sand once it's dry gives the best finish. It's low odour, touch dry in about 20 minutes and ready to recoat in 2 hours, and it's white, covers up to 16 square metres a litre and washes up in water. On timber it's for inside only, and tannin-rich timber wants a coat of Ultralock first. Don't paint below 10 degrees or above 35, in direct sun, or with rain or dew due in the next 24 hours.
