    An oil based finish that soaks into the deck, the fence or the outdoor setting to keep the water out and the timber looking like timber.

    Haymes Woodcare Decking Oil penetrates into the timber, so it won't crack or peel, and Haymes say it guards against mould and algae as well as UV damage. This is the Natural colour, ready to use from the tin. Clean new timber with Rapid Prep, or weathered timber with Wood Cleaner, and let it dry, then put on 2 coats with a brush or lambswool applicator, 3 or 4 boards at a time, with 6 hours between coats. Down the track it's just a clean and one more coat. Keep it out of direct sun and off the job if rain's due within 48 hours, and soak your oily rags in water before you bin them, because they can catch fire on their own.
