    This 100x280mm poly float works the surface in a figure-eight motion once the render's gone off enough to take it, compressing the material and levelling out trowel marks rather than pulling moisture out the way a sponge float does. The smaller size suits patch repairs and tighter reveal areas where the medium float is too wide to control.

    It handles sand and cement render as well as traditional lime work, and it's light enough to control one-handed on fiddly patch jobs.
