The last pass over a wall decides whether it looks finished or just done.
This 250x95mm foam float goes over render or plaster once it's partly set, working in small circles to close pores, soften trowel lines and pull a bit of moisture back to the surface for a smooth final texture. Where a poly float straightens and compresses, this one abrades gently and follows the shape underneath, so it's the step that comes after, not instead of, floating up.
Dampen it lightly before use so it doesn't drag or stick.
