A fillet knife earns its keep right up until the moment it goes over the side, which is exactly the problem a floating handle solves. This one's built with a hollow or foam-filled handle so the whole knife sits on the surface if you drop it near the water.

Beyond the float, it's a standard fillet blade, flexible enough to run along a bone and clean up a catch at the cleaning table or on the boat. Keep it sharp and it'll do most of what a hardware-store fillet knife is asked to do.

Cheap insurance against the one thing every angler has done at least once. Full specs are in the tabs below, and if you're not sure it suits your trip, call us on (08) 8536 4333 or pop in to 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn.

The need-to-know

  • Type: fillet knife
  • Handle: hollow or foam-filled, built to float
  • Blade length: not specified, ask in store

Why it's worth having

  • If it goes over the side, the floating handle keeps it on the surface instead of on the bottom with your other lost tools.

Shipping and Returns

We pack and send your order with care, right here from our Strathalbyn store. Most parcels leave within 1–2 business days, and you'll get tracking as soon as it's on the way. If you're local, you can choose click-and-collect or our delivery service at checkout.
