Timber that sits in the ground has a hard life. Rot and damp go to work on fence posts and sleepers, and insects join in too. This Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta gives them a tough bitumen coating that keeps moisture out and slows the deterioration.

It is a creosote alternative with no hazardous ingredients, and it is even certified safe for use in organic growing setups. The flexible, UV-resistant formula moves with the timber as it expands and contracts through the seasons, so it resists cracking and peeling.

Brush on two coats for posts, sleepers, stakes, poles and retaining walls. Allow one hour between coats. Roughly 8 to 10 square metres per litre per coat. Full details are in the tabs below.
