Puts zinc back onto a weld or a cut where the galvanising's been burnt or ground off, so the steel doesn't start rusting from the join out.

It's a zinc rich primer with 91% metallic zinc in the dry film, and it protects the steel the same way galvanising does, by giving the rust something else to attack first. It conforms to AS3750.9 Type 1 and dries to a matt grey. Dy-Mark are clear that it goes on clean, bare metal after welding, not over rust, so grind it back to bright steel first. It's touch dry in about 20 minutes, recoat after an hour, and if you want the shiny look back you can top it with Zinc Guard Silver Bright.
