    This one's built for punching through two skins of brick without stopping halfway.

    The carbide tip has a semi-positive profile that bites straight into brick, block, stone and concrete, and it keeps cutting fast right through both leaves of a cavity wall in one pass.

    Cheap masonry bits round off after a handful of holes and start walking off the mark. This Sutton bit uses a rolled double spiral flute to clear dust as you go, so the tip stays cooler and the carbide lasts up to three times longer than a basic bit.

    At 400mm it reaches all the way through double brick and rendered walls, wall ties and downpipe brackets, jobs where a standard-length bit falls short. Run it in a hammer drill or rotary hammer set to percussion mode for the best cut.
