Coopers Original Stout 1.7kg

This is a proper stout you make yourself. It is dark brown with a thick espresso-like head, a nose of coffee and chocolate over dark grain, and a dry finish where the roasted malt meets the hop bitterness.

The tin is hopped liquid malt extract, so the recipe is done. Mix it into hot water, top to 23 litres, add a kilo of Brew Enhancer or brewing sugar and pitch the yeast from under the lid.

It drinks well young and it also cellars for years if you can leave it alone. Full brewing detail is in the tabs below.
