Hardwood lump charcoal for when you want the barbecue properly hot, hot enough to put a real sear on a steak along with that charcoal flavour.
Heat Beads say it's 100% natural and chemical free, made from sustainably sourced hardwood in big, evenly sized pieces that leave very little ash. It runs hot, around 230 to 290 degrees, with a medium burn time, so it suits quick open grilling, kettle roasting and spit roasting, direct or indirect. Let it settle before the food goes on, and always burn it outdoors, as burning charcoal inside a house, shed, tent or caravan can build up carbon monoxide.
A 10kg bag. This one is collect only, so we don't post it. Grab a bag from 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn, or call (08) 8536 4333 and we'll have it ready for you.
