A .050 gauge loop at 40 drive links, honed sharp and ready to fit.

Archer builds this chain from nickel alloy Japanese steel with hard industrial chrome-plated cutters, then shot-peens every link for tensile strength and hones it at the factory. Fit it straight from the packet and it's already cutting clean, no filing needed before the first cut.

Pitch is 3/8 inch low profile, semi-chisel cut, and the heavier .050 gauge suits mid-size and pro-class saws. Match the pitch and gauge to your bar and drive sprocket before you fit it. A chain that's the wrong gauge will bind and cut rough no matter how sharp it is.

You're paying a little more than the cheapest chain on the shelf, but the chrome-plated cutters hold their edge longer in dry, gritty timber, and the shot-peened links resist stretch under load so you're not forever re-tensioning.
