Scale and sooty mould on the citrus are a classic backyard headache, and white oil is the old reliable fix. Brunnings White Oil works by coating and smothering the pests, so it gets the job done without a harsh chemical knockdown.

It handles scale, aphids, mealy bugs, sooty mould, spider mites, white fly and white louse on citrus, shrubs, roses and ornamentals, and it doubles as a leaf gloss to bring up a shine on indoor plants.

It's ready to use, so just spray it straight onto the affected plants. You can use it through most of the year, though hold off on citrus in late autumn and winter.
