Blood and bone is about as old-school as garden feeds get, and there's a reason it's stuck around. This organic-based version feeds gently, without the burn risk of a stronger chemical fertiliser.

It supplies natural nitrogen and phosphorus, builds strong roots and steady growth, and the organic matter improves the soil structure as it breaks down. It's a favourite for natives as well as roses and general garden beds. Spread around a handful per square metre and water in.

At 20kg, this is the size for a full garden or an orchard, without running back for more.
