    For joining metals that welding alone won't cooperate with. These manganese bronze rods are flux-coated for oxy brazing steel, cast iron, copper and copper alloys, and they melt at a lower temperature than a full weld, so there's less heat distortion on thin or awkward sections.

    The bronze deposit machines cleanly afterwards and holds real tensile strength, which is why it's reached for on maintenance repairs and sheet metal work. One thing to know: it isn't rated for copper pipes carrying hot or salt water, so keep it to general repair and fabrication work.

    At 2.4mm, match the rod to the thickness of what you're joining.
