Glass and tile crack easily under a standard bit, and this one's shaped to stop that happening.
The four-facet spear point shaves its way through ceramic and glass instead of hammering at it, so you get a clean, controlled hole instead of a spider web of cracks.
The carbide tip is copper-brazed onto the shank for better heat resistance, which means it lasts up to seven times longer than a basic tile bit and cuts around 30% faster. Spiral flutes carry the dust and swarf away as you drill, so the bit stays cooler and the hole stays cleaner.
It suits Class 3 ceramic tile and standard glass, and it also gets through brick, plastics, fibreglass and similar soft materials. It isn't built for toughened or tempered glass, so check what you're drilling into first. Run it slow, keep it wet if you can, and let the point do the work rather than pushing hard.
