A sharp chain cuts faster and safer, with far less strain on you and the saw. This Archer Deluxe Pro file is a 7/32" (5.5mm) round chainsaw file set in a shaped wooden handle, so you get a steady, comfortable grip while you touch up each cutter by hand.

File size has to match your chain. A 7/32 inch file suits full 3/8 inch and .404 inch pitch chain. If you're running .325 pitch, go for the 3/16 inch file, and for 3/8 low profile chain use the 5/32 inch. Check the stamp on your chain or bar if you're not sure, and we're happy to help you work it out.
