Low white alyssum that spreads into a soft, sweet smelling carpet along the front of a bed, and it's one of the easiest flowers there is to grow from seed.
Carpet of Snow stays down around 8 to 12cm and covers itself in tiny white flowers, so it suits edging, rockeries, path edges and window boxes, and it fills the gaps between pavers nicely too. It's a hardy annual that flowers the same year you sow it. Sow it straight where you want it to grow, only about 3mm deep, in full sun or part sun, and keep the soil damp until it comes up. In our climate spring and autumn are the easy times to sow.
Full specs are in the tabs below, and if you want a hand with when to sow in your spot, call us on (08) 8536 4333 or come in and chat with us at 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn.
