    A solid M10 coach screw for fixing steel brackets, post shoes and ledgers to timber outside, where a zinc plated screw would rust.

    It's a Bremick hex head coach screw in Class 4.6 mild steel to AS1393, and the hot dip galvanising makes it the one to use outdoors and in treated pine, because Bremick mark it ACQ suitable. The thread cuts its own way into the timber and the hex head takes a spanner or a socket, so you can drive it down until the head seats. Drill a pilot hole first, because at 10mm it'll split the timber if you don't.
