Makes a stiff tap easy to turn off again, because the soft dome shaped washer seals without you having to wrench on the handle.

Most of the time a dripping or hard to shut tap only needs a new tap valve, which is the jumper valve that sits under the spindle. The Sealtite has a rounded, soft washer that closes off with very little force, so it's a good swap for anyone with arthritis or not much grip. This is the 13mm size, 19mm across, and it suits a tap with a 1/2 inch (G1/2) inlet, which is most household taps. It suits hot and cold water, inside or out, and it's Australian made and WaterMark approved.
