    A roof looks tidy or it doesn't, and the fixings are usually what gives it away. This short cladding screw comes with a Surfmist-painted head that disappears against the sheet instead of dotting the roofline with silver dots.

    It's self-drilling, so there's no pilot hole to line up first, and the bonded neo washer seals the fixing against water finding its way in around the shaft. Class 4 galvanising and a painted finish that holds its colour through coastal salt and Strathalbyn sun mean it's not a fixing you'll be revisiting in a couple of years.

    At 12g by 25mm it's sized for flashings, cappings and light cladding rather than structural work, and it drives into steel or timber batten without swapping screws mid-job.
